Laura began dancing in Connecticut when she was 2 years old and has studied many different styles of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, modern and hip hop. In 2009, Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance and Business Management. While at Skidmore, she studied modern and ballet under the direction of former Mark Morris, Martha Graham, American Ballet Theatre and Saratoga Ballet company members. She also participated in and choreographed for many student productions including those for Rithmos, Skidmore’s jazz and hip hop company, and Cabaret Troupe, Skidmore’s musical theater company. Since college, she worked in Connecticut as a guest teacher for the Loomis Chaffee School Dance Department, and currently teaches modern and contemporary at Nickel City Dance Center in Kenmore. Laura is very happy that she is able to continue her dance journey in Buffalo and is especially excited to be a part of ConvergeDance Buffalo’s first concert performance.
